John 6:51 “Jesus, the bread that came down from heaven”

In these last days, many things have happened around us. The pressure of culture is pushing us to take a stand—either right or left. Either you are with darkness or with what culture calls “light.” In the midst of wars, spiritual battles, poverty, injustice, and false teachings, Jesus is always the answer. When we lock eyes with Him, we don’t take sides—we intercede for everything and everyone.

The pains of labor are starting, and that only means we are about to give birth—birth to what we were made for: to meet our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. As we walk through all these world issues, I want to encourage you to fix your eyes on Him, to seek His face, and to pray that He opens your eyes to Scripture and to the divine nature of God. In the midst of everything—lock eyes with Jesus, the man with eyes of fire.

If you truly know Jesus, if you drink His blood and eat His flesh, clarity and life will come into your soul, body, and spirit.

As I write this, I encourage you to make this prayer:

“God, break my heart for what breaks Yours. I know I am Your temple; therefore, I join with You in what You are interceding for—the Church, for immigration, for the president of the United States, for the Palestinians, for the Israelites, for Charlie Kirk’s family, and also for Latinos who are being treated unjustly. Break my heart for what breaks Yours. I commit to pray and intercede for my family and friends who still don’t know You. Open their eyes…”

I believe the enemy is trying to bring division within culture. In these last days, hatred has reached its peak, but so has the grace of Jesus. During this time, I encourage you to read Scripture—not seeking something from Him, but asking the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to Jesus.

John 15:26 (NIV) says:
“But when the Advocate comes, whom I will send to you from the Father—the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father—he will testify about me.”

Jesus is our bread who satisfies in the midst of the wilderness. He is the water that keeps your soul alive. He is the bread of life. Sometimes as Christians, we see the sacrifice of Jesus as something that happened long ago. But that sacrifice—the gospel—is past, present, and future. The sacrifice Jesus made saved you, is saving you, and will save you until the day you see Him.

Our hope in this time is that He is coming for us—His bride. If you feel burned out or confused about what is good and right, I encourage you to process this time in prayer and let the Holy Spirit guide you into all truth. Jesus is the foundation of our faith—our rock.

1 Corinthians 3:11
“For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

There is so much more to know about Jesus. Let’s not put Him in a box, but instead pray for the Holy Spirit to keep revealing more of His person, His sacrifice, what He is doing now, and what He will do.

John 15:15
“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”

We must stop thinking we know it all about the gospel. When we think we know it all, we stop learning more about Him. The gospel is the continual revelation of Jesus in our lives. Let’s stop seeking Him only for signs and wonders; let’s seek Him in spirit and in truth.

Jesus is the bread of life who satisfies—who takes us from anxiety, depression, and dead works into true life.

John 6:35
“Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.’”

If you feel stuck and without peace in this season, it may be because you’ve stopped locking eyes with Him—because of unbelief in your heart, or because you are filling your mind with social media instead of the Word of God. Instead, fill your mind with His Word, contemplate Him, meditate on His sacrifice, praise Him, worship Him, and lift His name high. Then you will see how He rescues you from wherever you are.

John 6:56
“Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.”

What do you think Jesus meant when He told His disciples and those around Him, “Eat my flesh and drink my blood”? Honestly, I think I would have said, “What in the world?!” But now I understand—He was calling us to meditate on, remember, and fill our hearts with the sacrifice He made on the cross. It amazes me daily that He died for me, and His grace is a continual gift preparing me for the day my Bridegroom returns.

When we take communion, we proclaim and believe what He did for us, what He is doing in us, and what He will continue doing until His return. There is so much more to discover about Him. Drink His blood—discover the meaning of the words He spoke.

Matthew 18:3
“Truly I tell you, unless you repent and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

Do not turn off the Holy Spirit just because you are unfamiliar with Him. Instead, let the Spirit ignite your whole being from the inside out.

John 6:63-64
“The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life. Yet there are some of you who do not believe.”

Do not let your heart harden in this time. Instead, draw near to Jesus and He will guide you.

Isaiah 54:11–17

Meditate on all the “I’s” in these verses and see His goodness toward those who believe in Him:

“Afflicted city, lashed by storms and not comforted,
I will rebuild you with stones of turquoise,
your foundations with lapis lazuli.
I will make your battlements of rubies,
your gates of sparkling jewels,
and all your walls of precious stones.
All your children will be taught by the Lord,
and great will be their peace.
In righteousness you will be established:
Tyranny will be far from you;
you will have nothing to fear.
Terror will be far removed;
it will not come near you.
If anyone does attack you, it will not be my doing;
whoever attacks you will surrender to you.
See, it is I who created the blacksmith
who fans the coals into flame
and forges a weapon fit for its work.
And it is I who have created the destroyer to wreak havoc;
no weapon forged against you will prevail,
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord

I hope this blessed your heart and gave you light in the season you are in.

Blessings!
